Ordered by how many points each one adds to the score. Start at the top.
- 1+3
Freshness: release notes say something
FixGeneric notes: “Stability improvements”
“Bug fixes and improvements” tells existing users nothing. Name what changed: it is free re-engagement copy shown in the Updates tab.
- 2+2
Description: shows social proof
FixNo user counts, press or awards mentioned.
Add one line of proof near the top: user count, rating, a press quote or an Apple feature.
- 3+1
Description: enough substance
Improve842 characters.
Aim for 900+ characters covering features, use cases and proof. It is not indexed on iOS, but it is indexed by Google and it closes undecided visitors.
Keyword map
What Apple indexes, and what it ignores
On iOS, only the title, subtitle and hidden keyword field count for search. The description does not. Words you only mention there are invisible.
Indexedtitle + subtitle
1 unique word. Apple combines them, so “budget” and “planner” also rank for “budget planner”.

8 of 10 screenshot slots used
The first three do most of the selling: they appear directly in search results. Read them as a stranger would, in two seconds.
