The 4 fixes worth the most altitude
Ordered by how many points each one adds to the score. Start at the top.
- 1+4
Freshness: updated recently
FixLast update 264 days ago.
Apps that ship regularly get re-crawled and keep their ranking. Aim for an update every 4 to 6 weeks, even a small one.
- 2+3
Title: uses the 30 characters
Improve22/30 characters used.
The title is the heaviest ranking field. You have 8 characters unused: add your strongest keyword after the name, e.g. “Ice Cubes for: <main keyword>”.
- 3+3
Freshness: release notes say something
FixGeneric notes: “- Fixed a crash when sharing a post as an image.”
“Bug fixes and improvements” tells existing users nothing. Name what changed: it is free re-engagement copy shown in the Updates tab.
Keyword map
What Apple indexes, and what it ignores
On iOS, only the title, subtitle and hidden keyword field count for search. The description does not. Words you only mention there are invisible.
Indexedtitle + subtitle
6 unique words. Apple combines them, so “budget” and “planner” also rank for “budget planner”.
Storefront
10 of 10 screenshot slots used
The first three do most of the selling: they appear directly in search results. Read them as a stranger would, in two seconds.
